Arteta: This is what matters to me, and I was frustrated by the first goal

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's head coach, expressed his happiness with the level his team showed during their 2-1 victory over Chelsea, emphasizing that the players' reaction after conceding an early goal was one of the standout positive aspects of the match.

Mikel Arteta stated in an interview with Sky Sports: "I was very frustrated with the way we conceded the goal, but we must also give credit to them and to Morgan Rogers for the way he finished the ball. On the other hand, it was enjoyable to watch our team play and compete, alongside some fantastic individual performances, and the atmosphere in the stadium was great."

He added: "What matters to me is the way we reacted after the goal. We demand more dynamism, threat, and aggression from the team, and we saw that today."

Regarding Arsenal's attacking strength and the absences the team has suffered, Arteta explained: "We are missing players for long periods; there are players who have been out for six months and five months, and Bukayo Saka has been out for three and a half months, while Havertz has been out for seven months. The way the team dealt with all of this last season was exceptional."

Mikel Arteta praised the level that Christos Tsoulis is showing, saying: "He was brilliant again. He has already shown the level of threat he poses, his work rate, and his decision-making; all of these things are amazing to watch."

The Arsenal manager gave special praise to his goalkeeper David Raya, stating: "The save he made against Estêvão during that one-on-one was fantastic. His presence on the pitch and the way he claims every cross helps us immensely."
