Arsenal Monitors Timber's Brother as an Alternative Option in Midfield
Saturday 15-11-2025
It seems that Arsenal is considering Kontin Timber, the brother of midfielder Jurriën Timber, as part of its future options to strengthen the midfield, according to CaughtOffside.

The 24-year-old Dutch player, who currently plays for Feyenoord, is nearing the end of his contract with his club, at a time when Borussia Dortmund is leading the race to sign him.

Sources indicate that Arsenal, along with Manchester United and West Ham, may be among the clubs interested in signing Timber next summer, with the possibility that Dortmund may move in January to secure the deal before the player’s contract ends for free.

Timber has been known to be on Arsenal's radar for a long time, especially after his brother Jurriën's impressive performances with the team at the Emirates Stadium; however, assessments suggest that Arsenal's need for him is unclear in manager Mikel Arteta's current lineup, as the team relies on the core duo Declan Rice and Martin Zubimendi, with Christian Nørgaard as a backup option.

According to the same source, Arsenal plans to further strengthen the midfield, keeping an eye on star Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest, making Timber an economical alternative option in case big deals do not materialize.

The report adds that major clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea are also monitoring Anderson, increasing the importance of keeping an eye on Timber as an available and low-cost option to enhance Arsenal's midfield next season.
