Manchester United eye Rennes talent to strengthen left-back position
Cameroonian defender Mouhamadou Naguiida has entered the plans of Manchester United to strengthen the left-back position during the upcoming winter transfer window, after the club's scouts were impressed by his abilities.
TEAMtalk has reported that Manchester United have been tracking the 21-year-old player several times over the past few weeks, including the matches between Rennes against Juventus and Olympiacos in the UEFA Europa League, and the technical reports about him have been very positive.
The English club is looking to strengthen this position after Diogo Dalot had to fill it recently and the team failed to sign Nathaniel Brown and Lewis Hall last summer.
Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell are exploring available options, with the possibility of signing a left-back in January and another in the summer, especially given the uncertainty surrounding Luke Shaw's future.
Manchester United's interest is not limited to Nagyda, as their list includes Alejandro Balde from FC Barcelona, David Raum from RB Leipzig, Joaquin Seys from Club Brugge, and Adrien Truffert from AFC Bournemouth.
