Al-Ittihad signs Moroccan Sofiane Boufal
Libyan club Al-Ittihad has officially signed Moroccan international Sofiane Boufal during the current summer transfer window, in preparation for the upcoming football season.
The Libyan club celebrated its new signing on its official social media accounts, where it published a series of photos documenting the moment the Moroccan star was presented to Libyan and international media.
The club commented on the presentation photos of their new player with the phrase: "Proud of what he has chosen, boasting the badge, a great star wearing the shirt of history.. Welcome Sofiane Boufal."
Sofiane Boufal, aged 32, has extensive experience in European football, having played in Ligue 1 for Lille, Angers, and Le Havre. He also represented Southampton in England and Celta de Vigo in Spain before moving to Al-Rayyan SC in Qatar.
On the international stage, the Moroccan star has previously represented his national team in several matches and was part of the 'Atlas Lions' squad participating in the FIFA World Cup 2022 held in Qatar.
