Sofiane Boufal arrives in Libya ahead of joining Al-Ittihad Tripoli
Moroccan star Sofiane Boufal arrived in the Libyan capital Tripoli on Sunday, ahead of completing his transfer to Al-Ittihad SC, after landing at Mitiga International Airport.
Sofiane Boufal, 32, has been a free agent since leaving Le Havre this summer, after his contract with the club ended, during which he attracted interest from clubs in Ligue 1 and Spain.
Moroccan player Sofiane Boufal is set to complete administrative procedures and necessary medical examinations before the official announcement of his transfer by the federation. Reports indicate that Boufal will sign a contract lasting two seasons with the Libyan club.
Sofiane Boufal will embark on a new experience outside European football, having previously played for Lille, Southampton, Celta Vigo, Al-Rayyan SC, and Le Havre, alongside his international career with the Morocco national team.
