Boufal enters list of most expensive in Libyan Premier League

Moroccan Sofiane Boufal, a player for Al Ittihad, has secured a prominent place among the most expensive players in the Libyan Premier League for the 2026-2027 season, with his market value reaching €1.8 million, according to figures from the Transfermarkt platform.

With this value, the Moroccan playmaker shares fourth place on the list with Congolese forward Viston Mayele, a player for Al Ahly FC.

Libyan midfielder Al Ahly FC's Moatasem Bellah Al-Masrati leads the rankings with a value of €4.5 million, followed by Zambian striker Lamek Banda of Al-Suwaihli at €3.5 million, and Libyan defender Ali Youssef of Al-Ittihad in third place valued at €2.5 million.

These figures reflect the strong presence of top stars in Libyan stadiums as local clubs aim to attract prominent names to elevate the level of competition. Although market values remain estimative and subject to change based on performance and developments, they highlight the increasing appeal that the Libyan Premier League has gained across the African continent.
