Moroccan international Mahmoud Bentayg has rejected a huge financial offer from Libyan Premier League club Al Ittihad, preferring to continue his journey with Zamalek SC, despite the financial temptations presented by the club seeking to secure his services.

According to reports from the website 'Afrikafout', the Libyan Football Federation, led by Tunisian coach Faouzi Benzarti, has offered the Moroccan defender a contract extending for three seasons, with a total value reaching 9 million dollars.

According to the same source, the offer included an annual salary estimated at around 3 million dollars, in an attempt to persuade Mahmoud Bentayg, who is 26 years old, to move to the Libyan Premier League, after previously playing for Raja Club in Morocco.

Despite the significant financial value of the offer, the player chose to stay with Zamalek SC, wanting to maintain his sporting stability and continue competing at the highest levels.

The report added that Mahmoud Bentayg's insistence on continuing his journey with the Egyptian team is also linked to his ambition to maintain his competitive level and enhance his chances of remaining in the considerations of the Moroccan national team during the upcoming phase.

Thus, the financial temptations from the Libyan Football Federation, according to reports, have failed to change the Moroccan player's stance, who prefers to continue his experience with Zamalek SC rather than embark on a new adventure in the Libyan Premier League.
