Manchester United Plans to Sign Luis Skelly Despite Arsenal's Demands

Manchester United continues to show interest in signing Miles Lewis-Skelly, the young Arsenal player, before the summer transfer window closes, despite the London club's insistence on a fee exceeding £50 million.

The player, who is 19 years old, has caught the attention of Michael Carrick, the head coach of Manchester United, due to his ability to play as a left-back and in midfield.

According to The Sun, Manchester United believes it can convince Arsenal to part with Luis Skelly before the transfer deadline on September 1, although the club sees the asking price as high.

The biggest obstacle lies in the stance of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal's head coach, who has confirmed 100% that the player will stay with the team. Meanwhile, TalkSport reported that the coach views academy players, including Louis Skelly, as vital assets to be retained and developed.

Manchester United sees the player as a suitable option for the future due to his young age and ability to play in multiple positions. However, completing the deal will remain contingent on the club's willingness to meet Arsenal's financial demands.
