Manchester United announce Carlos Baleba's absence after injury against AS Roma
Manchester United have suffered another injury blow as midfielder Carlos Baleba is set to miss several weeks due to a hamstring injury sustained during the match against AS Roma, which ended with the English side's thrilling victory.
Carlos Baleba left the pitch shortly after the start of the second half, having felt pain in his hamstring following a run into the penalty area, forcing him to not complete the match.
This injury is a new setback for the 22-year-old Cameroonian player, who previously missed the start of the season due to an ankle injury sustained during pre-season after his move from Brighton for £70 million.
Michael Carrick has confirmed that Carlos Baleba will not be available during the international break, missing matches against Aston Villa and Liverpool in the Premier League, as well as the team's trip to Lisbon to face Sporting in the UEFA Champions League.
Michael Carrick provided an update on the player's return: "We don't know the exact date yet, but he will be out for a number of weeks. He certainly won't be available this week, and he won't return during the international break; he will need longer than that."
In contrast, Michael Carrick has revealed positive developments regarding Patryck Durgó, who returned to training this week after suffering a hamstring injury. However, he emphasized the need to handle his return with caution, especially since he has suffered the same injury twice this year.
Manchester United's coach has stated that Durgou's participation in this weekend's match is still uncertain, confirming that the coaching staff will continue to monitor his condition and handle him with patience over the coming weeks.
