Arsenal confident of sealing Antonio Nusa deal despite Tottenham interest
Arsenal are holding onto their hopes of signing Norwegian Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig during the upcoming winter transfer window, despite Tottenham's interest in acquiring him.
TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal are feeling confident about finalizing the deal for £45 million, having closely monitored the player as they seek to strengthen their attack in January.
Antonio Nusa, aged 21, has impressed this season, scoring four goals and providing six assists in ten matches in the Bundesliga.
RB Leipzig are unwilling to part with their winger in January, especially since there are no financial pressures after selling Yan Diomande to Real Madrid for £120 million last August. The player is also tied to a contract until 2029.
The source indicated that Arsenal may need to make an offer exceeding £45 million to convince the German club, while Tottenham's name has not appeared in recent reports despite their previous interest in the player.
Arsenal are considering other options, including Marcus Tavernier and Junior Kroupi, the Bournemouth duo, who are attracting the interest of manager Mikel Arteta.
