Potential return to England: Newcastle and Manchester United monitor Toney

Ivan Toney, the striker for Al-Ahli, has attracted the interest of Newcastle and Manchester United as the winter transfer window approaches, amid possibilities of his return to the Premier League.

Football Insider has reported that Newcastle are looking to sign a new striker during the upcoming January transfer window, with Ivan Toney's name among the top candidates to bolster their front line.

The report linked Newcastle's interest in English striker Ivan Toney to his previous relationship with German Matthias Jaissle, his former coach at Al-Ahli, which could help facilitate attempts to recruit him.

Newcastle are not the only club interested in the player's services, as Manchester United are also monitoring his situation after including him among the options to strengthen their attack during the winter transfer window.

The report indicated that Michael Carrick is searching for a striker with previous experience in the Premier League, which is available with Toney thanks to his prior professional experience.

The 30-year-old English striker has previously worn the Brentford shirt before moving to Al-Ahli, giving him the chance to return to English pitches with extensive experience in the competition.
