2026-2027 African Confederation Cup Preliminary Draw Results

Cairo, the capital of Egypt, hosted today the draw ceremony for the preliminary rounds of the 2026-2027 CAF Confederation Cup.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has exempted eight clubs from participating in the first preliminary round of the African Confederation Cup, according to the continental club ranking.

These clubs will qualify directly for the next round of the tournament, without the need to play in the first preliminary round.

The first leg matches of the preliminary round will be held between September 4 and 6, 2026, with the return matches scheduled for September 11 to 13.

The first leg of the Round of 32 (second qualifying round) will take place from October 16 to 18, 2026, with the return leg scheduled for October 23 to 25 of the same month. Group stage matches are set to kick off between November 27 and 29, 2026.

Mogadishu City will face Ugandan side Kitara in the upcoming match, with the winner advancing to meet Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the 32nd round.
