Press reports revealed that Liverpool has begun to move to make an initial offer to sign Leipzig midfielder Asan Widraogo, as they aim to outbid Manchester United and Newcastle in the race to sign the player, according to 'TEAMtalk'.

According to the report, Liverpool plans to make an opening offer of 40 million euros, although this figure may be lower than the German club's valuation of the player. Meanwhile, both Liverpool and Manchester United need to strengthen their midfield during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The report indicated that the player, the 20-year-old German international, is gaining increasing attention after his outstanding performances with Leipzig, where he is seen as one of the most promising rising talents in Europe, making him the focus of interest for several clubs.
