Joan Laporta, the president of FC Barcelona, confirmed that the club's management rejected a massive offer worth 250 million euros from Paris Saint-Germain to sign the young talent Lamine Yamal about two years ago.

Laporta said in a press statement: "When Paris offered us 250 million euros for Lamine Yamal and we rejected the offer, he was 17 years old; some considered us crazy."

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain had denied in 2024, through the French newspaper "L'Equipe," the existence of an official offer of that amount to sign Yamal, confirming that the rumors at the time did not reflect the club's true position.

Yamal, who is currently 18 years old, is considered one of the key pillars in Barcelona's lineup, having recently renewed his contract until the summer of 2031. This move reflects the club's great confidence in his abilities and future role.
