The Egyptian striker Hamza Abdel Karim has become a permanent player in the ranks of Barcelona after the Catalan club activated the agreed-upon purchase option with Al Ahly of Egypt.
According to Spanish newspapers, Barcelona paid 1.5 million euros plus variables to fully acquire the player's rights.
Hamza Abdel Karim joined Barcelona during the last winter transfer window on loan and played this season with the under-19 team.
Hamza Abdel Karim is 18 years old and was on a loan contract until June 30, before Barcelona decided to finalize the deal as a permanent transfer.
The player is expected to continue his career with Barcelona in the coming period, in line with the club's policy of investing in and developing young talents within the La Masia academy.
