Al-Ittihad Club decided to suspend its negotiations with Waleed Al-Ahmad, the defender of Al-Taawoun team, during the current winter transfer window, due to a disagreement over the financial value of the deal.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that the Al-Ittihad management rejected the excessive price demanded by Al-Taawoun, as the latter requested 70 million riyals for the player, which the Al-Ittihad management considered excessive compared to the available circumstances.

The source indicated that the negotiations have been temporarily halted, as the union is considering other options to strengthen the defense position, while keeping the door open in case the cooperation retracts its financial demands.

The club had made an official offer to purchase Walid Al-Ahmed's contract in an attempt to strengthen the team's defense during the winter transfer window, before financial differences temporarily halted the negotiations.
