Top European League Stars on the Verge of Joining the Saudi League
Renowned global names are set to headline the upcoming summer transfer market in the Saudi Professional League, led by Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Portuguese Bruno Fernandes, and Brazilian Casemiro.
The English site Talk Sport revealed that those in charge of the recruitment project in Saudi Arabia aim to include about 50 foreign players at their peak age, in preparation for an exceptional transfer market following the 2026 World Cup.
The report clarified that the list includes a limited number of experienced stars, headed by Mohamed Salah, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, and Robert Lewandowski.
Mohamed Salah is attracting interest from Al Hilal, Al Qadisiyah, and Neom clubs as his time with Liverpool nears its end, amid increasing possibilities of a significant change in his professional career.
The site pointed out that Liverpool is keen on keeping Salah until the end of his contract in the summer of 2026. However, his departure at the end of the current season could benefit all parties if a new right winger is signed.
In the same context, signs of restructuring are emerging within Al-Ittihad Club, with increasing chances of N'Golo Kante, Karim Benzema, and Fabinho leaving at the end of the current season after their contracts expire.
Al-Ittihad is one of three Saudi clubs monitoring the situation of Bruno Fernandes, who has a release clause of 60 million euros for clubs outside the English Premier League.
The name Casemiro has once again become the focus of interest for Saudi clubs, including Al-Ittihad, Al-Nassr, and Al-Qadisiyah, especially with his contract with Manchester United nearing its end in June.
Saudi clubs are also monitoring other names from the English Premier League, most notably Youri Tielemans and Amadou Onana from Aston Villa, as well as Gabriel Martinelli, the Arsenal winger.
