Al-Ittihad Begins Preparation for Al-Akhdoud Without Rest
Saturday 24-01-2026
The Al-Ittihad Jeddah team continued their preparations for the upcoming match against Al-Okhdood in the Saudi Pro League, without taking a break. Saleh Al-Shehri and Faisal Al-Ghamdi, the first team football duo, conducted individual training sessions this Friday evening, coinciding with the start of group training for the rest of the players.

The team resumed training immediately after the 1-2 loss to Al-Qadisiyah on Thursday evening. Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao refused to give his players any day off, preferring to start preparations for the upcoming match right away.

The players who started in the match against Al-Qadsiah only performed recovery exercises, while the rest of the team had a regular training session on the club's main field as part of the preparation program for the match against Al-Okhdood.

Away from the two groups, Saleh Al-Shehri and Faisal Al-Ghamdi continued to carry out their rehabilitation program individually, as they were not fully ready. Al-Shehri had sustained an injury during training that prevented him from participating against Al-Qadisiyah.

Al-Ghamdi continues to be absent for about a month due to a hamstring injury and still requires further rehabilitation before returning to group training, according to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper.
