Officials of Al-Ittihad Club in Jeddah are holding an important meeting today, Sunday, in the capital Riyadh, with representatives of the Saudi Professional League and the Recruitment Committee to discuss a number of vital issues related to the first football team, at a crucial time before the closing of the winter transfer market.

This meeting comes amid intensive efforts by the union's management on multiple fronts, aiming to strengthen the team's ranks during the current period and before the end of the winter transfer window at the beginning of February, in line with the technical staff's needs and the club's competitive ambitions.

According to "Al-Riyadiya" newspaper, the management of Al-Ittihad is seeking to recruit a player born in the front line, while studying several technical and administrative scenarios that would allow the registration of a new player on the roster without violating the competition's regulations.

The federal administration faces a legal challenge if it decides to replace the birth player Simic and sign a substitute, due to the FIFA regulations that prohibit a player from playing for three clubs in one season. This is particularly complicated by the fact that Simic had previously played for Anderlecht in Belgium before joining the federation, which complicates the club's options during the current period.
