Zamalek SC. It is a professional football club located in Giza, Egypt, founded in 1911, and is known by the nickname 'The White Knights.' The team plays its matches at Cairo International Stadium, which has a capacity of 74,100 spectators. It has won the Egyptian Premier League title 14 times, in the seasons 1959-1960, 1963-1964, 1964-1965, and 1977-1978, with the most recent titles in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. It has also won the Egypt Cup 29 times, in the seasons 1921-1922, 1931-1932, 1934-1935, and 1937-1938, with the most recent titles in 2020-2021 and 2024-2025. In addition, it has won the Egyptian Super Cup four times, in the seasons 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2016-2017, and 2019-2020. On the continental level, the club has been extremely successful, winning the CAF Champions League five times, in 1984, 1986, 1993, 1996, and 2002; the African Cup Winners' Cup once, in 2000; the CAF Confederation Cup twice, in 2018-2019 and 2023-2024; and the CAF Super Cup five times, in 1994, 1997, 2003, 2020, and 2024. Internationally, it has won the Afro-Asian Club Championship twice, in 1987 and 1997. A historic achievement was made in 2010 when it became the first Egyptian team to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup. The club shares a fierce rivalry with Al Ahly, known as the Cairo Derby, which is one of the most exciting matches in African football. The team has also participated in the Arab Club Champions Cup, winning it once in 2003, and has been a regular competitor in the CAF Champions League, with notable performances in the 1990s and the 2000s. The consistent successes of the team have established its reputation as one of the most decorated clubs in the history of African football.
