Zamalek SC have suffered a significant blow ahead of their upcoming clash against Étoile du Sahel in the CAF Champions League group stage, as their Palestinian striker Oday Dabbagh has sustained a knee injury that threatens his chances of participating in the continental match scheduled for the end of November.

Zamalek SC are preparing to face Al-Ahly on November 28 at Cairo International Stadium, in the first round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League. Meanwhile, they will have a domestic test against Egypt for Insurance next Friday in the Egypt Cup round of 32.

Zamalek SC's medical staff has revealed details of Oday Dabbagh's injury, confirming he is suffering from a sprain in the internal ligament of his knee. This requires him to undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program during the current period, with the aim of preparing him to return to group training as soon as possible.

Despite the club not announcing the duration of Palestinian striker Oday Dabbagh's absence, reports indicate that the recovery period from this injury ranges between 3 and 6 weeks, which puts his participation against Africain in doubt, depending on how he responds to the treatment program.

Oday Dabbagh's potential absence poses an additional challenge for Zamalek SC's coaching staff, given the numerical shortage the team is experiencing and the need for the club to make the most of all its players before embarking on its journey in the CAF Champions League.
