Latest updates on Zamalek's football company file
Ahmed Shobair has revealed the latest updates regarding the football company at Zamalek SC, and the candidate for the presidency of the company after Emirati businessman Khalaf Al Habtoor denied his intention to invest in the white club.
Ahmad Shobair stated: "Khalaf Al Habtour denied in an official statement any intention he has to buy the football company at Zamalek SC. On the contrary, one of the things that annoys me very much is when some say that Zamalek SC is for sale; Al Ahly FC, Zamalek SC, Al Masry, and Al Ittihad are not for sale. There is no such thing as selling Zamalek SC."
Shobeir clarified: "By the way, the investor who applied the first time was Saudi and not Al Habtoor or any Emirati person, and there was no reason for us to provoke the man and make him issue a statement. He may be a Zamalek fan and loves Zamalek, but we must be careful with our words."
Shobeir added: "Zamalek SC must finalize the issue with the football company, and there is anxiety within Zamalek SC among former stars regarding the football company file, but the board of directors, in light of the crises, said we have not provided another solution."
Shobeir added: "Could Ayman Mamdouh Abbas be the new head of the football company? This talk has circulated, God knows. Is a foreign investor coming? My information is that Ayman Abbas is a Zamalek fan and loves the club deeply, but guys, not every time you bring people into the matter because that is not nice and not in the interest of Zamalek or Egyptian football."
