Zamalek issues official statement regarding accusations against the club's board

Zamalek SC has officially announced its position regarding the accusations directed at its board concerning the responsibility for player crises and issues that have resulted in hefty fines amounting to 7 million dollars.

Zamalek SC stated in its official statement: "Recently, there have been rumors from some journalists about the club's involvement in player-related issues that resulted in a fine of 7 million dollars."

The Zamalek SC board of directors confirmed that the cases in which rulings were issued against the club, leading to the termination of player contracts and a ban on registrations, stem from the severe financial crisis the club faced due to the withdrawal of the October land in August 2025. This affected financial flows and contributed to the club's inability to meet its obligations to several parties, including the players contracted by the club, which led these players to file complaints and resulted in a backlog of cases against the club.

He added: The club's board confirms that it is completely distant from any suspicion of involvement in these issues, and the club emphasizes taking all legal measures against anyone who accused the administration, whether of wasting public funds or corruption, without justification or providing real evidence.

He concluded: "The club's board of directors demands that the media exercise accuracy when discussing the club's issues and financial matters, as the matter has exceeded its limits, and the club's management will take action against anyone who makes false accusations against board members."
