Wael Gomaa attacks Kohler after Al-Ahly's defeat against Pachuca
Wael Gomaa attacked former Al-Ahly star Marcel Koller, Al-Ahmar coach, after Al-Ahly’s defeat today against Pachuca, Mexico.
Al-Ahly lost to Pachuca by a score of 6-5 on penalty kicks after the end of regular time and extra time in a goalless draw.
Wael Gomaa said in the analytical studio after the match: “Marcel Koller bears a large part of the loss, just as the coach is praised. After winning tournaments, he must bear responsibility for losing."
He added: “The biggest blame is on Kohler He pushed Kahraba, who was not quite ready, and took out Wissam Abu Ali, and also let him shoot the penalty kicks before Percy Tau, who was ready and had his foot on the field.”
He concluded: “In the coming period, we are entering a great period and very strong tournaments, and unfortunately we have missed the opportunity of our lives today.”
