The attention of Egyptian football fans is directed towards the upcoming edition of the Egyptian Super Cup, which will be held in its new format with the participation of four teams. These include the champions of the league, the Egypt Cup, and the League Cup, in addition to a fourth team that receives an invitation card, the "golden card."

Reports have revealed that the Football Association has decided to invite Al Ahly Club to participate in the upcoming edition of the tournament, while Zamalek, Pyramids, and Al Masry clubs have officially secured their spots on the list of participants.

This anticipated move by the federation is primarily driven by marketing and sporting motives, aiming to elevate the level of competition within the tournament and grant it greater public momentum, which in turn would increase financial returns and enhance the event's marketing value.

Zamalek will compete in the Super Cup as the Premier League champion, while Pyramids participate after winning the Egypt Cup. Meanwhile, Al-Masry enters the tournament as the holder of the last edition of the League Cup, completing the list of the three champions in the new system.

In the same context, arrangements indicate that the upcoming edition of the Egyptian Super Cup will be held in the United Arab Emirates, as part of the agreement signed between the Egyptian Football Association and its Emirati counterpart, which stipulates hosting two editions of the tournament on Emirati soil.

Al Ahly finished its journey in the Premier League in third place, behind the leader Zamalek and runner-up Pyramids, which secured its qualification to participate in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
