Barcelona is considering selling the team's player

The Dutch player's contract with FC Barcelona expires in the summer of 2025, and the Catalan club had made an offer to renew the player's contract, but it ignored a response regarding this matter, and current reports indicated that FC Barcelona withdrew this offer.

A newspaper confirmed "Mundo Deportivo", that Barcelona is considering selling De Jong next summer, especially since this will help the club a lot regarding the Financial Fair Play Law, due to the high salary that the player receives.

The newspaper indicated that the Catalan club will insist on either renewal for the coming years or an urgent departure in the summer of 2025, and will not be allowed to wait until January 2026 without renewing the contract so that he does not leave for free.
