After returning from Doha, additional tests for Atangana at Al Ahly FC

Al Ahly FC midfielder Valentin Atangana has undergone medical tests after suffering a mild concussion during a clash in the AFC Champions League Elite against Al-Sadd.

Atangana was injured during the first half of the match held on Monday in the Qatari capital Doha, as part of the fourth round of the league stage in the AFC Champions League Elite.

Midfielder Ziyad Al-Johani replaced an injured player in the 18th minute, before the medical staff took him to a private hospital for necessary examinations.

Medical examinations revealed the nature of the injury, showing reassuring indicators regarding the player's condition, allowing him to leave the hospital and join Al Ahly FC's squad after completing the medical procedures.

Atangana has returned to Jeddah with his teammates after the medical staff checked on his condition in Doha. The team's delegation arrived in the Kingdom on Tuesday morning.

The player is set to undergo additional tests at the club's clinic on Tuesday evening to ensure his safety and that no further effects related to the injury he sustained appear.

Al Ahly FC secured a point from their encounter with Al-Sadd, as the match ended in a goalless draw at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, in the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite.
