Al Ahly arrive in Doha ahead of clash with Al-Sadd in AFC Champions League Elite
Al Ahly FC's squad has arrived in the Qatari capital Doha today, Saturday, to begin preparations for their match against Al-Sadd, scheduled for Monday evening at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium, as part of the fourth round of the AFC Champions League Elite.
The Saudi team departed the capital Riyadh on Saturday morning on a direct flight to Doha after suffering a heavy defeat against Al Shabab, losing by six goals to one in the match that took place in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Ahly FC will hold their first training session in Doha at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium following a press conference with Dutch coach Marino Pusic.
Al Ahly FC enters the match sitting third in the Western Group standings of the AFC Champions League Elite, having collected 7 points from two wins and a draw in the previous rounds.
Al-Sadd currently sits in 14th place with just one point, gathered from one draw and two defeats, which increases the importance of the encounter for both teams in their tournament journey.
