Yaisleh criticises Al Ahly FC players after loss to Everton
Matthias Jaissle, the manager of Al Ahly FC, expressed his dissatisfaction with his players' performance following the loss to Everton on Monday. He pointed out that the team failed to implement the tactical plan that had been prepared throughout the week, despite the good level displayed during training.
Yaisle confirmed that his players lacked the necessary courage in building play and breaking through the opponent's lines with ground passes, explaining that the team did not deliver what they had trained for, nor did they reach the level of possession that the coaching staff aimed for during the match.
Al Ahly FC's coach said: "If you are going to settle for playing long balls, that does not fit with Osula's style, and that was not our plan. We need to analyze the matter deeply to understand why we failed to start the match the way we had planned."
He added: "I am responsible for that, and for making the plan succeed. We have a clear identity for the way we want to play, which is to put the opponent under pressure in their advanced areas of the pitch, and to create one-on-one situations, and the plan was never to play long balls."
Yaisle concluded his statements by emphasizing his feelings of frustration and disappointment, after the team was unable to transfer what they had shown in training to the pitch, raising questions about the players' commitment to the tactical instructions and the need to correct mistakes before upcoming challenges.
