Newcastle secure valuable win over Crystal Palace in Premier League

Newcastle have secured a valuable 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace in the match that took place at Selhurst Park, as part of the eighth round of the Premier League.

The first half ended in a goalless draw as both teams failed to capitalize on their chances, leaving Newcastle to decide the match in the second half.

William Osula opened the scoring for Newcastle in the 47th minute, capitalising on a pass from Jacob Murphy inside the penalty area to give his team the lead at the start of the second half.

Harvey Barnes doubled Newcastle's lead by scoring the second goal in the 58th minute, after meeting a low cross from Amar Dedic with a powerful shot inside the penalty area.

With this victory, Newcastle have raised their tally to 11 points, placing them 7th in the Premier League table, while Crystal Palace remain on 7 points in 17th place.
