Gasperini: We are preparing to face the best version of Manchester United

Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of AS Roma, emphasized the difficulty of the upcoming encounter against Manchester United, stressing the need for focus and not being affected by the circumstances surrounding the English team, ahead of the anticipated match between the two sides in the UEFA Champions League.

Gasperini said during the press conference: "Manchester are going through a tough moment, but we cannot allow ourselves to get distracted. They are a strong team, with exceptionally talented players, and they play in a hot atmosphere. We are preparing for the match as if we are facing the best version of Manchester United."

AS Roma's coach added about his ambitions for the match: "Everyone has the right to dream, and I am trying to achieve my short-term dreams, starting with tomorrow's match, in a wonderful stadium known all over the world. I hope the dream is achievable."

Gasperini addressed the team's injury crisis, stating: "When you miss players like Pellegrini, Dybala, and Kone at the same time, we try to adapt to different situations. We have alternatives in some positions, but we are lacking in midfield. I hope this is just a temporary phase, as we have faced seven very difficult matches, but we have always had players ready, and some injured players have recovered quickly."

Regarding the physical condition of the players, it was pointed out that Rodrygo Mora is in good shape, confirming the readiness of the seventeen players present with the team, expressing hope to recover the rest of the players after the break, despite the difficulty of that happening during the current week.

Gasperini concluded his remarks by praising the options available on the flanks, stating that Wesley is performing well alongside Loli. He also spoke positively about Molina and Rensch, noting that playing in these positions requires significant physical effort and the ability to cover large areas thanks to speed and acceleration.
