Manchester United considering signing Balogun in January
American forward Folarin Balogun, who plays for AS Monaco, is under consideration by Manchester United ahead of the winter transfer window, as the possibility of signing him in January has been presented to the English club, according to TEAMtalk.
The 25-year-old forward is experiencing a tough time at AS Monaco after his move last summer fell through, following the collapse of his transfer to Everton due to his dissatisfaction with the questions directed at him during the medical examination.
Dour Balogun has seen a reduced role this season after being left out of AS Monaco's European squad, managing only four substitute appearances in Ligue 1, as the team relies on young Paris Brunner to lead the attack.
The same source clarified that the player's agents, led by Jorge Mendes, have started contacting several clubs to explore transfer opportunities, confirming that Manchester United are among the clubs offered the American striker.
Manchester United are looking to bolster their attack and have identified Jean-Philippe Mateta, the Crystal Palace striker, as an option, alongside Balogun, whom the club is considering signing.
The talks have included Everton, Leeds United, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest, as well as Juventus, with AS Monaco ready to allow the player to depart during January.
