Mbeumo: We feel a huge disappointment, the mentality was there from the first minute

Braian Mbeumo, Manchester United's forward, expressed his disappointment following the 2-0 defeat against Chelsea, confirming that his team performed well in the first half but failed to capitalize on the chances that came their way, during his statements to "TNT Sports".

Mbeumo said after the match: "We feel a great disappointment. I think we did a lot of things right, especially in the first half, when we could have gone ahead by a goal or two."

He added: "We had many chances in the first half, which is a positive thing, especially since we haven't been able to create many opportunities in recent matches, but we must acknowledge that Chelsea are a good team with players of exceptional abilities."

He added: "What we showed today confirms that the mentality was present, everyone put in a great effort, but we still need to work on some details during training and put in more effort, especially as we have two very important matches coming up."

Regarding the possibility of players letting down the coach and their teammates during the match, Mbeumo responded: "Of course not, the mentality was present from the first minute. The task became more difficult after playing with ten men, but we still trust everyone."

He concluded: "Despite the numerical disadvantage, we felt some frustration in the final minutes, but I believe we gave everything we had as a team. Perhaps we just missed out on taking some chances today, and we could have gone ahead earlier, and that is a positive we can take from the match."
