Gasperini: Important win for AS Roma as team strength showed after beating Cagliari

Italian coach Gian Piero Gasperini of AS Roma confirmed the importance of the 4-2 win against Cagliari in the ninth round of Serie A, noting that the pressure of matches requires taking advantage of all players and maintaining their physical readiness.

Gasperini has stated that the proximity of match dates poses some difficulties for players, explaining that the coaching staff needs to rotate the squad and give as many players as possible the opportunity to prove that the team has a group capable of competing.

The coach spoke about the importance of striker Castro, highlighting his impactful performance in the previous match, and that the decision to rely on some players instead of others is linked to the busy match schedule, affirming: "We need to keep all players in the best possible condition."

AS Roma secured a 4-2 victory over Cagliari, coming back after an early deficit. This win takes their tally to 21 points as they continue to chase the top teams in the Serie A standings.
