AS Roma eye Olympiacos defender Lorenzo Pirola ahead of winter move
AS Roma are continuing their efforts in the transfer market, looking to strengthen their defence. The Italian defender Lorenzo Pirola, currently with Olympiacos, is among the names they are closely monitoring in preparation for a potential move in the upcoming periods.
According to Turkish journalist İkram Konur, representatives from the Italian club attended several matches of Olympiacos at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium, including the derby clash against Panathinaikos, to monitor the performance of the young defender and assess his level closely.
Lorenzo Pirola is 23 years old according to the report, and he plays as a centre-back, having previously represented Inter and US Salernitana 1919 in Italy, before moving to Olympiacos, where he aims to continue his development and gain more experience at the European level.
AS Roma are expected to continue monitoring the player's development and performance as the winter transfer window approaches, with no confirmations yet regarding a formal offer or direct negotiations with the Greek club.
