Mateta wants to move to Manchester United in January

Reports have revealed that French forward Jean-Philippe Mateta, of Crystal Palace, wants to move to Manchester United during the upcoming winter transfer window, as the English club is interested in strengthening its attacking options.

Alex Crook, a journalist for talkSPORT, has mentioned that Mateta is open to the idea of moving to Old Trafford in January, should the right opportunity to complete the deal arise.

This comes amid the possibility of the French striker leaving Crystal Palace, especially as his contract approaches its end and his position on renewing it remains unclear, which may prompt the London club to consider the offers presented to ensure financial benefit from his sale.

In contrast, Manchester United are studying their options to bolster their forward line, amid the need to increase the team's attacking depth, but no official agreement between the two clubs regarding the deal has been announced yet.
