Decline in Nick Vultomade's value costs Newcastle heavily
Newcastle United face significant financial losses due to the declining market value of striker Nick Vultmadhe, who joined the team for £69 million before moving to Juventus on loan during the 2026-2027 season, after struggling in his experience with the English club.
According to estimates from financial expert Stefan Burson, the player's market value has dropped to below £40 million, meaning that Newcastle may have already incurred a loss of between £21 million and £29.5 million compared to the amount they paid to sign him.
Bourson pointed out that high salaries make it more difficult to resell players with high costs, as the burdens of the transfer are not limited to the transfer fee alone, but also extend to the financial obligations associated with the player's contract.
Reports have suggested that Newcastle were aware they were paying around £10 million more than the value they deemed appropriate when completing the deal, which raises concerns about the potential financial return from selling the player in the future.
Meanwhile, Voltamade's chances of a permanent stay at Juventus do not seem clear, amid reports suggesting that the Italian club does not plan to activate the player's purchase option.
Fulham's Follitama has scored two goals for Juventus since joining the team on loan, both in the UEFA Europa League, as Newcastle await developments regarding the player's situation to determine the best way to mitigate potential losses from the deal.
