Belgian goalkeeper Senny Laminez has confirmed that Manchester United players stand behind their coach Michael Carrick, despite increasing pressure on him due to the team's poor results this season and the criticism directed at the club and coaching staff by several players in recent weeks.

Karrik is facing a tough period after Manchester United secured only two victories in 11 matches across all competitions since their return to the UEFA Champions League. The pressure has increased on him following the defeat against Atlético Madrid, and then the 4-1 loss against Como, a match that sparked criticism within the team.

Argentinian defender Lisandro Martínez has criticized the club's football director Jason Wilcox, stating that the management did not support Carrick adequately during the summer transfer window. Meanwhile, captain Bruno Fernandes has voiced criticism of the coaching staff's decisions, particularly regarding the pressing style against opponents.

Laminz, in statements to "Sky Sports", responded to a question about the dressing room's support for the coach: "For me personally, I believe that the dressing room stands behind Carrick."

He added: "Of course, the people at home cannot see that, so we also have to try to show this when we are on the pitch in the weekend match, but I assure you that we are doing everything we can, and we are all united behind the coach, whether it is the coaching staff, the players, or the club management."

The Belgian goalkeeper continued: "Everyone knows, of course, that we need to perform better, but I believe we are united and striving to improve as a team, working together."

Laminez discussed the reasons behind the team's struggles this season amid criticism regarding their tactical approach, saying: "Last season, I felt that we were perhaps performing better at times this season, but last season everything was going perfectly, and everything was in our favor."

He explained: "We suffered as a team when opponents pressed us, but we did not concede a large number of goals. I believe we performed well last season when we relied more on counter-attacks, but everyone knew we needed to evolve, and teams would change their way of playing against us."

Laminez concluded his statements by saying: "That’s why we had to evolve this season, and during the preparation period, we tried to do different things to put ourselves in the best possible position to win matches. I think we need to regain some of the style from last season, and the way we fought together, even when things weren’t going well. We have to fight and defend as a team, and I think that’s one of the things we need to get back."
