Conte clarifies his position on returning to management amid links to Manchester United
Italian coach Antonio Conte has clarified his coaching future amid links to several clubs in recent times, confirming that there are currently no advanced negotiations and that he will take the necessary time to determine when he will return to coaching.
Conte said: "My name has been linked with many clubs, but there are currently no negotiations that have reached an advanced stage."
He added: "After a wonderful and successful time with Napoli, I will give myself the time I need to think about how and when to return to coaching. It will be a carefully considered decision, and I will make it when I believe the circumstances are right."
He explained: "I have seen reports talking about financial demands and conditions to gain full control, which I allegedly submitted to the mentioned clubs, along with reservations about what has been described as my strong personality. These reports are unfounded, as there is currently no concrete basis for such assessments."
He continued: "If a serious opportunity arises, that will be the right time to have discussions with the relevant club and explore the terms of a potential agreement together, taking into account the needs of both parties and the qualities and style that characterize my work as a coach."
He concluded: "Until then, any assumptions regarding my claims and professional future remain mere speculation and cannot be treated as facts."
Antonio Conte's comments come after his name was linked with Manchester United, amid the uncertainty surrounding Michael Carrick's future as manager. However, the Italian coach did not confirm any negotiations with the English club, emphasizing that any talk of his demands and conditions remains speculative unless a serious opportunity arises.
