Burglary at Bruno Fernandes' home with valuables worth £4 million stolen
Bruno Fernandes' home was burgled by three masked men on Wednesday while he was in Italy with Manchester United for their UEFA Champions League match against Como.
The Manchester Evening News reported that the house, located in Cheshire and valued at around £4 million, was broken into at around 8:30 PM, shortly after the match that Manchester United lost against Como by four goals to one.
The discovery of the incident came after a neighbor of the player reported to the police spotting three suspicious individuals in the backyard of the house, believed to have climbed the fence adjacent to a wooded area before entering the property and stealing several valuable items. Their presence inside the house lasted less than five minutes, despite it being equipped with an advanced security system that includes alarm devices, surveillance cameras, and an electric gate, while no family members of the player were present in the house at the time of the incident.
Cheshire Police have confirmed a burglary incident involving the theft of several items, noting that the suspects were not found when officers arrived at the scene. Investigator David Jarvis stated that the investigation is still in its early stages, emphasizing the police's commitment to doing everything possible to track down those responsible, and urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area to provide information that may assist in the investigation. Meanwhile, Manchester United is offering support to their captain following the incident.
