Bouaddi reveals his idol and specifies his preferred position on the pitch

Young Moroccan international Ayoub Bouaddi, a player for Manchester City, has revealed his admiration for Spanish football legend Andrés Iniesta during his childhood, confirming that the former FC Barcelona star was one of his main sources of inspiration, thanks to his technical skills and ability to control the pace of play and make a difference in midfield.

Bouaddi explained in an interview with the official website of the English club that Iniesta was the player who attracted his attention the most, despite the limited opportunities he had to follow his matches. He noted that he made sure to watch video clips showcasing the skills and technical touches of the Spanish star on the YouTube platform.

The Moroccan player stated that the few moments he watched Andrés Iniesta on the pitch were enough to impress him, noting that his childhood coincided with the spread of clips showcasing the top skills of football stars, which allowed him to recognize the abilities of the Spanish player and enjoy his distinctive style.

This admiration reflects my interest in players who possess a high ability to retain the ball and move intelligently in tight spaces, as well as finding suitable solutions under pressure from opponents and contributing to building attacks, which are characteristics that distinguish the performance of creative-minded midfielders.

In a related context, the Moroccan player talked about the positions he has occupied during his football career, explaining that midfield remains the position where he feels the most comfortable, despite having previous experience in the center-back and right-back positions.

Bouadi has indicated his ability to play in the right-back position when necessary, drawing on his previous experience in that role. However, he emphasized his preference to continue in midfield, where he finds the right space to utilize his technical abilities.

The player's statements come at a time when he is looking to enhance his presence with Manchester City, taking advantage of the available opportunities to prove his abilities and gain more experience in English football, amid the competition for a place in the team's lineup.

Boudi has attracted attention due to his recent performances, with interest in his promising abilities despite his young age. However, he needs to continue working on improving his performance and gaining the necessary experience to establish his place within the English team.
