Officially: Paris Saint-Germain vs Olympique Lyon match postponed
Ligue 1 has announced the postponement of the match between Paris Saint-Germain and Olympique Lyon, which was scheduled for Sunday, October 25, as it has been decided not to hold the match at its originally planned time.
The decision came after the Paris Police Department announced the ban on holding the match at its original time, which was scheduled for 10:45 PM, leading the league to decide to move the encounter to Monday, October 26.
The match is set to kick off at its new time of 10:30 PM Saudi time at the Parc des Princes, home of Paris Saint-Germain.
Lyon lead Ligue 1 with 14 points, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain on goal difference.
France is experiencing widespread protests since October 2026 due to deep-rooted economic, social, and structural issues, which have been accompanied by riots and violence affecting several French cities.
The new date for the match coincides with the Ballon d'Or ceremony, which will take place in the English capital, London.
