Vitinha scored his first goal against FC Barcelona in the first leg of the 2023/2024 quarter-finals, before finding the net again in the return match with a long-range shot, contributing to Paris Saint-Germain's 4-1 victory. He did not score in the league meetings between the two teams in the previous season, which ended with the French team winning 2-1.
