Achraf Hakimi continues to strengthen his position among the top African assist providers in UEFA Champions League history, having provided an assist during Paris Saint-Germain's 4-2 victory over Barcelona in the third round of the competition.

Achraf Hakimi's contribution came in the 86th minute, when he exploited his movement on the right flank to deliver a key pass to his teammate Fabián Ruiz, who found the net to score the fourth goal for Paris Saint-Germain, confirming their dominance and sealing their victory in the match.

According to statistics published by the network "Statsdufoot", Hakimi has raised his tally to 19 assists in the UEFA Champions League, matching the record held by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who has the same number of assists in the competition.

Achraf Hakimi is just one assist away from equalling the record of Cameroon’s Samuel Eto'o, who holds the highest number of assists among African players with 20. Hakimi needs two more assists to surpass Eto'o and take the lead.

This figure reflects the increasing impact of the Moroccan star in the attacking side, as his role is no longer limited to defensive duties, but he has become one of the influential elements in creating chances and scoring goals while wearing the Paris Saint-Germain shirt.

With his continued participation in the continental competition, Hakimi has the chance to enhance his tally and continue progressing in the list of Africa's top assist providers, aiming to reach the top and achieve a new milestone in his European career.
