FIFA has announced that Qatar will host the last three matches of the Confederations Cup in 2026, with the final taking place on December 16 in the capital, Doha, under the supervision of the Qatar Football Association.

The Copa Libertadores champion will face Mexican side Toluca, the CONCACAF Champions Cup winner, in the Derby of the Americas, while the winner will play against South African club Mamelodi Sundowns in the Challenge Cup. Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain will play the final against the winner of the Challenge Cup match.

The first match will take place on December 9, as part of the Derby of the Americas, before the Challenge Cup match is played on December 12, with attention then turning to the final match of the tournament.

The final match is scheduled for December 16, where Paris Saint-Germain will face the winner of the Challenge Cup, in a clash that will determine the champion of the current edition of the competition.

Qatar has previously hosted the tournament on four occasions: under its previous format in 2019 and 2020, and under its new format in 2024 and 2025.
