Despite the break, Barcelona stars continue training ahead of El Clásico
Several FC Barcelona players took advantage of their day off on Thursday to continue optional training at the sports city, led by Lamine Yamal, Pedri, and Fermín López, in preparation for the LaLiga clash against Real Madrid next Sunday.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Xavi Espart, Gerard Martin, and Wojciech Szczesny were also present, alongside injured players Jules Koundé, Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, and Rony Bardji, to continue their recovery programs.
The team returns to training on Friday at 12 PM Egypt time after a busy two weeks of matches since the end of the international break, which saw victories over Getafe by three goals to nil, Galatasaray by four goals to one, and Real Betis by five goals to two, before losing to Paris Saint-Germain by four goals to two.
Jules Koundé is racing against time to recover from an ankle sprain, hoping to join FC Barcelona's squad against Real Madrid, while Dani Olmo, Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, and Rony Bardhi will miss the match.
