Barcelona fans prepare to unveil special display in El Clásico
Barcelona fans are preparing to raise a special display during the match against Real Madrid, scheduled for Sunday at Spotify Camp Nou, while the club is anticipating the possibility of achieving a new record in ticket revenues, according to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".
This will be the second Clasico held at Spotify Camp Nou since the renovation works began, following the previous match between the two teams at the stadium on May 10, which featured a fan display covering the first and second tiers, forming the Barcelona logo and the phrase 'Força Barça'. That encounter ended with the Catalan team winning 2-0, mathematically securing the LaLiga title.
The idea of organizing fan displays dates back to 1992, when the Peña Almogàvers supporters' group started this tradition. However, the message that will appear in the Clasico on Sunday remains a secret, as the club collaborates with its fans in preparing for it.
According to "Mundo Deportivo", the match is expected to see a full crowd, with the possibility of surpassing the record for ticket revenue in matches between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The club had achieved €16.5 million from ticket sales in the clásico last May, with an attendance of 62,213 spectators.
The increase in VIP seats enhances the chances of generating higher revenues, as the second tier now includes four rows dedicated to them surrounding the pitch, instead of one or two rows previously.
Three days before the match, ticket prices for the remaining seats ranged from €1,109 in the first tier of the goal stand to €2,099 in the same tier of the main stand. Meanwhile, VIP seats are priced between €2,400 and €2,800 for the most expensive seats behind the benches.
The newspaper added that ticket prices are subject to change according to demand, with prices starting at €299 in the goal stands and reaching €1,092 in the main stand.
