Manchester United monitor three defenders

Manchester United continue to assess their long-term defensive plans as the future of French player Lenny Euro remains uncertain, with three defenders emerging as options to strengthen their backline in 2027.

Yoro has joined Manchester United from Lille in 2024 for over £50 million, but he has struggled for game time recently, having started only twice this season, in the Champions League and the League Cup.

TEAMtalk reports that Euro has appeared as a substitute twice in the Premier League this season, while Michael Carrick relies on Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martínez in central defence, with Matthijs de Ligt nearing a return.

Despite a decrease in his appearances, Manchester United currently have no plans to part ways with Yoro, and the club remains committed to the French midfielder, who is in turn looking to regain his place and prove his abilities.

However, the long-term future of Euro is not certain, as Manchester United are tracking three defenders: Thiago Gabriel of Lecce, Fin Jeltch of Stuttgart, and Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton.

However, the club's interest in these names does not mean they are looking to sell Euro; rather, they understand the need to deliver strong performances to ensure their place in Manchester United's future plans.
