Nottingham Forest has reached an agreement with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Colombian full-back Daniel Munoz, with the deal nearing completion after the player received the green light to undergo a medical examination.

The Athletic revealed on Thursday that Nottingham Forest has made a bid worth £22 million ($29.7 million) for the services of Munoz, consisting of £20 million as a base fee, along with £2 million in incentives and bonuses.

According to recent developments, the two clubs have agreed on the transfer of the player for £22 million ($29.7 million), with additional incentives and bonuses included in the deal. Meanwhile, 30-year-old Munoz is preparing to undergo a medical examination before completing the transfer process.

The Colombian international is expected to sign a three-year contract with an option for an additional season, bringing him closer to a new experience in the Premier League.

The transfer carries a special significance for Munoz, as he will once again work under Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner, who took charge of Crystal Palace just one month after the player joined the club in February 2024.

Glassner confirmed, following his team's 2-2 draw with Liverpool on Saturday, that the possibility of new signings remains on the table, emphasizing his trust in the club's ability to bring in players with the right specifications and character.
