Arsenal and Manchester United Eye Club Brugge Star
Arsenal and Manchester United have entered the race to sign Joaquín Sosa, the Club Brugge full-back, after the young Belgian defender caught the attention of several Premier League clubs.
The Sun reports that Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa have made official inquiries regarding the possibility of signing Siss, while Newcastle United is also interested in the player but is currently lagging behind its rivals in the race for his signature.
Club Brugge is not in a hurry to sell Cisse, especially since the player has a contract with the club that extends for another three years. The Belgian club is asking for €35 million to agree to his departure.
Manchester United sees the left-back position as needing a long-term solution, and therefore the asking price will not be a barrier for the club, although the team's management has not yet decided whether to move for the player during the current transfer window.
As Manchester United searches for options in the backline, the club has also been offered the chance to sign Jed Spence, the Tottenham full-back, who can play on both sides of defense and is eager for regular playing time.
Cisse is considered one of the standout young talents at Club Brugge, having progressed through the ranks of the club. He has caught attention due to his physical abilities, defensive intelligence, and capacity to contribute to ball possession. His potential on the left flank has attracted interest from prominent clubs in England and across Europe.
